Main Features of the programme

ESC Dijon's dual mission towards the business community and educational and cultural domains is expressed by a few common features, which are typical of the French Grandes Écoles system:

Through its increased cooperation with international academic partners, ESC Dijon (Burgundy School of Business) is going through a phase of rapid internationalisation, reinforcing its research potential and diversifying it's education methods (projects based apprenticeship, problem based learning, case studies method…).
The programme can be completed in French and/or in English. Internships in France and abroad are also included in the programme.

Admission requirements

International students holding a French degree

Entry into the first year (final year of the Bachelor's level)

Entry into the second year (first year of the Master's level):

Applications for the programme in French

  • Test d'Évaluation des Aptitudes Intellectuelles
  • Command of French: TEF (4), DELF (B2) or equivalent certificate obtained not more than two years prior to submission of the application
  • Command of English: TOEIC (650), TOEFL (61/173/500), IELTS (5.0) or equivalent certificate obtained not more than two years prior to submission of the application

Applications for the programme in English

  • Graduate and Managerial Assessment
  • Command of English: TOEIC (750), TOEFL (80/213/550), IELTS (6.0) or equivalent certificate obtained not more than two years prior to submission of the application.

*If the Bachelor's degree was fully taught in English, no language certificate will be required prior to admission.

Applicants chosen after the pre-selection phase will be invited to an individual interview. This is with the aim of understanding their motivations and also their personality and ability to take part in activities within a multicultural group.

  • Year 1 (Final year Bachelor level)
    - Main objective: To acquire an in-depth understanding of Business and Management issues.
    - Content: 11 core courses in Accounting, Finance, Marketing and Management, 2 modules in Social Sciences, 1 module in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, 1 module in Information Systems, 2 modules in Foreign Languages, 2 Business games, 4 weeks of Personal Development Training and 1 Project contributing to the community. A three month internship.

  • Year 2 (Master I level)
    - Main objective: To acquire professional tools and techniques in Business and Management.
    - Content: 6 core courses in Accounting, Finance, Marketing and Management, 4 elective courses (specialising in Audit and Accounting, Banking, Corporate Finance, Financial Markets, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Management of Business Units, Management of Cultural Organizations), 1 module in Political Science, 2 modules in Foreign Languages, 1 module in Research methods, 1 Business game. A three month internship.

  • Year 3 (Master II level)
    - Main objective: To acquire know-how and expertise applied to Business and Management.
    - Content: 3 modules in Strategic Management, Corporate Governance And Strategic Marketing, 1 Module In Business Ethics, 4 elective courses (specialising in Audit And Accounting, Banking, Corporate Finance, Financial Markets, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Management Of Business Units, Management Of Cultural Organizations), 2 modules in Foreign Languages, 1 Business game. A six month internship in General Management.

International students are not required to take a semester abroad in their studies and are not eligible to apply for a double degree.

In English

  • Year 2 (Master I level)*
    The programme is similar to the Master in Business
    *The programme will also be available in German and in Spanish. International students will be required to take a "French as a Second Language" course. Support in English will be provided and may be requested if necessary.

  • Year 3 (Master II level)
    Two options are available: the Master in International Management or the MSc in European Business Administration.
    International students will be required to take a "French as a Second Language" course. Support in English will be provided and may be requested if necessary.
