Back to school at Burgundy School of Business: the Bachelor programme continues to grow

An unprecedented mentor for the class of 2017: Groupe Colruyt

Burgundy School of Business' Bachelor International Marketing & Business is pursuing its strong development with increased enrollment on its two campuses: 142 first year students in Dijon (among whom 20 foreign) and 20 in Lyon. What's more, the class of 2017 is the first ever to be mentored by a company: Colruyt France, subsidiary of the Belgian Colruyt, which is leader in large retail chains in Belgium, with 25,000 partners.

Colruyt is committed to helping Bachelor students become future professionals

The unprecedented mentor, Colruyt France, intends to facilitate students' personal development. "We are a rapidly-growing company and as such, it is our responsibility to be involved in training students so that they can apply their knowledge with us or elsewhere, with a comprehensive understanding of the world of work, its expectations as well as its needs. We also want to bring them knowledge about our professions and perspectives", says HR Director Lucie Lepeut.

Colruyt is present in France in two sectors of activity, Medium Sized and Large Retail Stores via Colruyt supermarkets and the Catering with Pro A Pro. Colruyt therefore offers a wealth of professions as well as opportunities at the heart of regional and national economies.

Thanks to this partnership, students from the class of 2017 will benefit from three years of company experience within its courses in addition to internship and apprenticeship contracts. Students will also be advised on their individual study and professional orientation through workshops, job conferences and company forums.

A resolutely well-known international Bachelor degree

The programme is pursuing its development and has 22 semester abroad partners (Europe, the Americas and Asia) and 3 for double degrees, including the latest with Nottingham Business School.

This year's Bachelor back to school welcomes more than 50 foreign students studying in all three years of the degree.

In addition, the Lyon campus, which offers the degree 100% in English, is now located in 600m2 of brand new premises in Cours Suchet, a dynamic area of Lyon Confluence, near the future Université Catholique.
