The Wine Management Institute presents a survey on more than 400 American and Chinese wine blogs

For a year, the students of the Wine Management Institute (studying for the Mastère Spécialisé en Commerce International des Vins et Spiritueux and MSc in Wine Business) have been organising a large survey to list the wine blogs in the United States and China, and to draw up a typology of the bloggers. At the rate of about ten blogs per student, 400 have been analysed.

 The objectives:

  • To compare a mature market (United States) and an emerging market (China) in terms of consumption of and communication about wine, and to observe the practical differences,
  • To measure the importance of new technologies and the new advisors of these blogs,
  • To give viticulturists in France the tools to develop their digital communication,
  • Create an inventory and a panorama of the wine blogs around the world, the intention being to extend the study to all geographical areas in the course of the next few years.

 The Wine Management Institute is organising a conference to present the results of the survey to the press, to professional graduates of the school, and to those who work in the industry. The presentation will be followed by a debate on the topic "How to communicate with bloggers".
