Twenty-five international professors from highly renowned institutions will be spending the next few weeks in Dijon, for an 'Academic Excellence Semester'.
Introduced for the first time this year, the semester gives Master 1 students on the Grande École programme a unique opportunity to be taught by leading professors in their field. This new initiative, which highlights the truly international dimension of the School, represents a wider effort to raise the School's profile and to really add value to students' experience.
From February to April about 300 students, half of whom are international, will be taking modules from the 35 on offer throughout the Academic Excellence semester. The great majority of the faculty come from prestigious English-speaking universities, including; Harvard University Faculty of Arts and Sciences, The University of North Texas, Stetson University, The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (United States), The University of Stellenbosch Business School (South Africa), Oxford Brookes University, Nottingham Business School and The University of Hull (Great Britain). Furthermore, Uppsala Universitet (Sweden), Universidade Católica Portuguesa (Portugal), Corvinus University of Budapest and University of Pécs (Hungary), are some of the most elite institutions in their countries.
The excellence of the participating professors and Universities underlines the quality of the School's international network and ambitious international relations strategy. In an environment where Grandes Écoles are increasingly choosing to undergo mergers, creating conglomerate 'giants', Burgundy School of Business is taking a different approach. The School is distinguishing itself by its commitment to offering academic excellence, providing the students with a unique, high-quality experience. This semester offers students exposure to the best in management teaching, giving them an unforgettable learning opportunity.
